The MISSION of the Illinois Department on Aging is to serve and advocate for older Illinoisans and their caregivers by administering programs and promoting partnerships that encourage independence, dignity, and quality of life.

The Well Being Task Force has been established to provide services for and advocate on behalf of seniors living alone without internal or external support systems; by establishing a foundation upon which to organize agencies, community partners, and the efforts of their volunteers, to assist in reducing the vulnerability of isolated seniors by locating the senior, sharing information with the seniors, and providing regular follow-up with them. Community Partners are faith based, non-profit service providers, utility and other government entities that join the well-being task force in identifying and providing follow-up for seniors in crisis as well as seniors isolated from society and quality support systems.
